I've had a couple of conversations and tips from far more accomplished riders than myself so post those here for others. The general view is that you the 400k without stopping . Naps and decent breaks are acceptable practice but typically not 'a few hours proper sleep.'
Hi all. Just starting out with the audax rides (completed 200k and 300k) and wondering how people take on a 400km? Do you just ride the whole 400k? Or look to stop and get 2-4 hours sleep along the way? With stops, eating, etc I seem to average ~6 hours per 100k so figure I have 3 hours to spare and wondering if the break and sleep might be better than pushing on through the night. Thanks
