Description: Build up that appetite for Christmas by belting out a quick 400/600 kms. You'll be able to justify a double helping of pav after this weekend.
All rides start and finish at the Matamata information centre.
Note the start time is 6AM. Be there at least 15 minutes before hand for briefing.
400kms
The 400 km ride does an initial loop up to Te Kauwhata, before passing back down through Morrinsville, and on to Matamata. First loop is 254kms. The second loop is a short run up to Paeroa and back. Paeroa has a 24 hour McDonalds. Total climbing is an easy 2,634m.
Start time is 6am, with a time limit of 27 hours (9am 23rd December finish time).

Pink Loop first, then Green.
600kms
The 600km ride is split into two loops. An initial 350km loop, and a 250km loop.
Leg One, goes up to Tahuna, and then on to Te Kauwhata. From Te Kauwhata, the route travels down the Western side of the Waikato river, before heading up to Taupiri. Passing through Morrinsville, the route Leg one finishes at Matamata.
Leg Two, is a 250km run up to the Waharau Regional Park, 7kms north of Kaiaua, and back.
Start time is 6am, with a time limit of 40 hours (10pm 23rd December)
