The second of the longer events held in Papakura.
Leg one is an easy out and back run to Huntly. Fifty nine kilometres as the tui flies. But we will travel like a drunken kereru. Head east from Papakura to Clevedon, and around the Seabird Coast. Travel down through Ngatea, and sweep back west to stop at Huntly for a well earned lunch, and then reverse the journey back to Papakura, for a total distance on day one of 357.70kms. Climbing metres is only 2,724 for this leg.
Leg two is a 245.90 km, 3,044 m of climbing, trip along the Western side of the Hunua ranges down to Kaiaua on the East Coast, before returning back to Port Waikato on the West Coast. From there a stop at Pukekohe for refreshments, and then meander back to Papakura to finish.
Start time, again, is the uncivilised time of 6am. at the Clock tower, on the Intersection of Elliot street and Great South Road.
