Starting off from the clock tower at the intersection of Broadway and Great South Road in Papakura, this 600km ride travels down to Matamata, for 360kms for day one, before returning to Papakura on day 2 for 240kms.
The ride will be run in conjunction with the 400km option, where riders will cover the same course down to Te Kauwhata.
Day one, the course heads east through Clevedon, and down the East Coast of the Hunua Ranges. It goes through Ngatea, and heads west through Tahuna, and on to Te Kauwhata. From Te Kauwhata, the course goes down the West side of the Waikato river, to Ngaruawahi, and connects up with the Te Awa River Trail to Horitiu. The route heads back to Ngaruawahi and through Taupiri and on to Morrinsville, and then on to Matamata.
Day two sees the course head back up to Te Aroha, before heading west through Tauhei and up to Tahuna. Before Ngatea, take a small deviation to Kerepehi, and return to Ngatea, and on to Papakura to finish.
