A return to the wonderful Far North. The course starts outside the Opua wharf.
The course follows the old railway lines from Opua all the way to Okaihau, the most Northerly point of the Main Trunk Railway.
Heading on the old railroad trail all the way to Imms Road beside Lake Omapere, the course heads anti-clockwise around the lake to Ohaewai, and Okaihau. From there the course heads out to the West Coast, past the Horeke Tavern and on to the Mangungu Mission Station. This is the 113km mark. From this point it is a straight return back to Opua.
