Description:

If you like your hill climbing in two tidy packages (791mtrs each way) and enjoy seeing the fruits of your labour this ride is for you.

This is an out and back course to Farewell Spit which stretches for 34 kms into Cook Strait, making it one of the longest natural sand spits in the world.

It is also a wetland of international importance. And then you cycle back traversing the mountain range separating Tasman Bay and Golden Bay , you will see it coming not once but twice on this ride!
